Arkansas, October 2010

Ambassador Kirk traveled to Arkansas on October 5-6, discussing ways that increasing American exports can help to create and sustain jobs in the state. Ambassador Kirk met with local leaders, elected officials and workers to highlight President Obama’s National Export Initiative. He also discussed the progress in negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

On Tuesday, Ambassador Kirk delivered remarks to the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. Later, Ambassador Kirk and Senator Blanche Lincoln held a roundtable with state and local agricultural leaders.

On Wednesday, Ambassador Kirk met with small business owners. Later, he toured the William J. Clinton Presidential Library. In the afternoon, Ambassador Kirk delivered remarks at the Clinton School of Public Service.
