Ohio, April 2011

On Friday, April 29, Ambassador Ron Kirk traveled to Cleveland, Ohio. During the visit he joined U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) to tour the ArcelorMittal steel manufacturing facility in Richfield. They met with steelworkers and company executives.

In Ohio, Ambassador Kirk discussed how local businesses and workers can win the future through selling goods and services abroad. He emphasized the Obama Administration’s robust enforcement efforts that support and preserve American jobs by ensuring that our trading partners play by the rules. In addition, Ambassador Kirk discussed the importance of creating new international economic opportunities for American small businesses to help rebuild our economy through trade. In Ohio more than 370,000 jobs are supported by exports.
