Ambassador Marantis will meet with Brazilian Ambassador to the U.S. Mauro Vieira.
Thursday, March 28
USTR will hold a public hearing and receive testimony on the U.S. Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) review of country practices petitions relating to Bangladesh, Georgia, the Philippines, Niger, Russia, and Uzbekistan.

Friday, March 29
In conjunction with a visit from President Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone, President Macky Sall of Senegal, President Joyce Banda of Malawi, and Prime Minister José Maria Pereira Neves of Cape Verde, Ambassador Marantis will moderate a roundtable discussion on trade, investment, and “doing business” issues that are critical to economic growth and to expanding U.S. trade and investment with the four countries as well as other African nations.
