Statement by Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns and U.S. Trade Representative Rob Portman Regarding Announcement by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) negative final injury finding in the anti-dumping and countervail investigations of imports of unprocessed grain corn from the United States

"The United States is very pleased by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s finding in the anti-dumping and countervailing investigations of imports of unprocessed grain corn from the United States.

"This decision results in no final anti-dumping or countervailing duties being imposed. All provisional duties collected will be refunded. The ruling is confirmation that, when properly utilized, the international trading system works in favor of free trade. This is good news for U.S. corn producers and exporters, as well as our valued Canadian customers. Exports of unprocessed U.S. grain corn to Canada account for more than $200 million in sales each year."
