2003 Report - Improving Lives Through Trade & Aid

The U.S. government report, "U.S. Contributions to Trade Capacity Building: Improving Lives through Trade and Aid" outlines U.S. programs across 35 categories that help developing countries make the most of open global markets. The report, which was released in September 2003, was accompanied by an announcement that the U.S. government was donating an additional $1.2 million for trade-related technical assistance to the World Trade Organization. The funding augmented an earlier contribution of $1 million. The United States is the largest single country donor of trade capacity building assistance.
